The 5th congressional district currently spans much of the North Side of into the western suburbs. It includes Schiller Park, Franklin Park, River Grove, Elmwood Park, Northlake, and Melrose Park. These are neighborhoods where most of us live, and work. Lakeview, Uptown, and Lincoln Park are all smack in the center.
I decided to run for Congress because I want to problem solve bigger communities with smart people around me. There is a real possibility of getting on the ticket, and while I intend to do this is a short amount of time, I have three stores in Uptown, Lincoln Park and Lakeview where thousands of people walk through on their day-to-day. This is something I want to do, and with your help, I know I can.
on the federal bailout, foreign policy, social security, labor, education, healthcare, etc. The truth is that my official stand on these and other issues is evolving. I have been involved in building sustainable communities for the past 10 years, and believe that in any situation, determining the right solution comes down to putting smart people I trust around a problem, actively listening, and executing on a decision in the most efficient and effective ways.
